DOMINODERECHO / TABLE GUIDE
The rules start at your table.
A practical guide to playing domino and using DominoDerecho. House rules vary: the bonus values below describe this app, not a universal tournament rulebook.
Set the table
A double-six set has 28 tiles. In a four-player game, each player receives seven tiles and partners sit opposite each other. Shuffle face down. Before dealing, agree who opens, how blocked hands are counted, and which bonuses apply.
For two players, agree on the deal and whether unused tiles form a draw pile. DominoDerecho records one player per side; it does not enforce the dealing or drawing rules.
Play a hand
Take turns matching one end of a tile to an open end of the layout. If you cannot play, follow your table’s pass or draw rule. A hand ends when a player places their last tile or the layout becomes blocked and nobody can play.
Count the remaining pips according to the rules agreed before the game. For a blocked hand, agree how the winner is decided, which tiles count toward the score, and how ties are handled. Enter the awarded points using + Mano.
Choose the scoring mode
| Setting | 200 points | 500 points |
|---|---|---|
| P/S · Paso/Salida | 25 or 30 | 50 |
| P/R · Paso/Redondo | 25 or 30 | 50 |
| K · Kapicú | 25 or 30 | 100 |
| Premios | Not available | Optional: 100, 75, 50, 25 |
In 200 mode, one setting selects 25 or 30 for all three special bonuses. In 500 mode, Premios add the listed amounts to the first four regular Manos and appear separately in score history.
Call the bonus, then record it
P/S, P/R, and K are manual scoring controls. The app does not see the tiles or decide whether a play qualifies. Agree on the meaning of Paso/Salida, Paso/Redondo, and Kapicú at your table, then select the bonus and the side receiving it.
“Se va con paso” in 500 mode
When enabled, P/S and P/R can win the game. When disabled, those bonuses are not awarded to a side already on 451 points or more; the attempt is shown as invalid in history. Decide this before scoring begins.
Finish and start again
The scoreboard identifies a winner when a side reaches the target through an allowed score. Use New game for the next match. Match settings lock after scoring starts to keep the rules consistent across devices.
